A Dark Deception

This is a poem I wrote on a dark, grey night.

I'm locked inside, 

My own dark mind, 

Broken and in distress, 

In desperate need of saving. 

I've fought hard for way too long, 

I don't think I can take much more, 

Life for me is just sorrow and regret, 

Even the little things burn to ashes. 

Every night I fall asleep alone, 

No one by my side to numb the pain, 

I must be one fucked up creature, 

As no one should ever feel this way.

All I know is that one day, 

I will find my peacefulness, 

Whether here on earth, 

Or in the land of what's next.

This stanza, omg! The sadness and pain in it is so overwhelming. I find myself wanting to save you from that pain.
