Summertime SadnessA Poem by TravieThis is a poem I wrote while listening to a song called "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey.
It was two summers ago,
You were sitting on the jagged rocks, With your blue eyes glistening in the sun, The beauty you possess, as perfect as can be. Little did you know, You are everything I have ever dreamed of, And when I told you so, You let me know the same. Was is fate or destiny? To have you sitting in front of me, My only wish upon the stars, Is now this beautiful reality. I awoke to see the sun shining on my face, I was in a daze as I looked around, To realize that you were only in my dreams, You are the one that got away.
