Went out the road today to get some pictures of the Islands history. I was there to get pics of some WWII bunkers that are on the verge of being lost. I give one of the three a year or two another fore, and the three'd should be there for some time. I found a interesting relic as well. Will I was taking a picture of one of the two look out bunkers, witch looks like a pillbox bunker I noticed a bullet casing on the ground, and with me being a shooter I new what it was instantly. It was a well aged 30-06 Springfield case, no big deal after all they still make them and it's one of the most popular hunting rounds but this one is different, it has a head stamp of WCC 41 witch stands for, Western Cartridge Company 1941 and you all should know what was going on, on that date. © 2015 TravelinAlaskan |
