This reminds me that when we love someone we want the love to be returned and we look for that, it reminds me that sometimes I too ask for people to stay and no matter what in their absence feel far away whether the distance is very far, I get the sense that you are at work writing this and then coming home to person you love, there is something mysterious about the last line with "gridlocked" I'm not sure of an image there, I feel like there could be an analogy only the addressee can see
