Meltdown of the forestA Poem by TrappedWhat does it feel like to have a meltdown?Branches shake, Rivers flow, I can’t take it anymore, Wind howls, Loud and pitiful. Rivers quicken, Air turns toxic, Trees wither, Gasping for air. Rivers gush, Trees quake, Branches feel the strange urge To rip out their roots. Rivers flood, Branches flail In a desperate attempt To rip their roots out of the ground. Rivers dry, Trees shiver, Roots attach back into the ground With a sigh And a tear. © 2018 TrappedAuthor's Note
