Yellow Fever

Yellow Fever

A Poem by TragicallyHuman
"

Yellow is the color that marks death.

"

When the heat arrived,

The epidemic thrived.

People began to die,

Yet no one knew why.

Heat radiated from their skin,

The supposed cause was sin.

Yellow tinted eyes,

Families said their goodbyes.

So many fallen ill,

The town became still.

Even when the cold came,

Nothing felt the same.

The cold was a big blessing,

Though some were still second-guessing.

The frost painted the ground,

And survivors danced all around.
