Seperating the new from the old

Seperating the new from the old

A Poem by Rambling Mind

Words are lost to the silence and feelings are held captive

and the mind stops thinking only to sense if it is still alive

Thoughts sway in the wind and the mind tosses round

and the breath pauses softly only to sense if it is still alive

Because this neverending timeline keeps playing tricks on my broken mind

and this unforgiving pain makes me unable to rewind the reel that is you

So hands shake like fallen trees and the cheast aches knowingly

and the body feels the pain only to sense  it is still alive

eyes swell and rain all the memories down into the world of my soul

and my heart stops beating only to sense it is still alive

Because this neverending timeline has hijacked my lonly mind

and my regrets have caught up to those damaged times that are us
