SymbolsA Poem by Tracie SkarboSymbols scar into palms And run up the soles of feet Tattoo’s to walk the pathway With love and compassion Mistakes are only sins To fall out of To rise from To flower forth and emerge wiser Without these would we Sing with such bittersweet note Paint with unimagined hue combination Sculpt with such passion for the rightness within the stone? Is this not the pull; the longing of spirit? The ultimate experience of what it is to be human Wanting, needing the god-like perfection Yet falling short every time Only to rise and begin again Knowing that the same fate awaits And repeating it anyway For no other reason Except something down in the core of your soul Is whispering That this is What it feels like To be dancing with Divinity © 2010 Tracie SkarboFeatured Review
