Perception

Perception

A Poem by Tracie Skarbo
"

Something that came in meditation...

"

I see with understanding

With perception

And feel with indifference...

I hear with youth's independence

With innocence

And feel within solitude...

I touch without fear

Without judgement

And believe in the individual...

"I see with understanding

With perception

And feel with indifference..."

Let`s see if I understand this ?
You see with understanding and perception, in other
words you know this person, but you are indifferent.
Hmmm....Indifference, lack of interest, feeling or worth.

" I touch without fear

Without judgement

And believe in the individual..."

Something is in conflict here. I assume you must mean that
you believe in the individual as apposed to the group, the family, etc.
You still are indifferent to this person. Right ?

The perception must be in flux because the person is in love with you,
but you are indifferent. He throws rose petals on your bed and you
throw the sheets in the laundry. Right ?

" I hear with youth's independence

With innocence

And feel within solitude..."

The middle stanza bears the same schizm.
You hear with independence and inocence
but you feel alone (solitude).

Is this some trait you bring with you to each
lover ? Is it just this guy is perhaps too needy ?

Only the shadow knows !!!!!

Such depth, and meaning. Says a lot about the author, and the eyes they see through. Unstained glass, untainted vision. Nice piece of work here. Look forward to reading more of your work.

To see through the spirit, and not through wordly eye's. The words you share are full of wisdom as none of us are the person to judge anyone! Very touching! ~ Jude :-)

This says so much. Looking past all faults and seeing a person for who they truly are is an amazing gift. Excellent job on this one.
