Loving you from arms length for so long

becomes a bitter journey I no longer want

to take...belief that it will change

belief that you will someday see me standing here

loving you is seared away daily

Layers of skin are peeled away with every

bead of acid that drips from your tongue

vomits from your mouth...all while your

eyes plead with me promising to “fix” it

just one more time

Our fixing days...are over don't you think?

Of fixing every frame that we have hung...

Flickering faster 

Then I could lie...

I see every detail now, down to the finest grain...

I do not know who wrote what parts, but the fist "stanza" hit home for me... Yes, it is a fix that fixes nothing but our desperation and desire to be whole. I t is a finger in the dike... (pun may be inserted here if your wish, ha). Eventually, the flood waters win...
