The River

The River

A Poem by Treylee
"

Its better to tell your secrets to someone who can't repeat them.

"
Sit down beside me

And watch my current flow
Tell me all the things
That no one else can know

Tell me of your heartbreak

Your defeats and your lies

I'll listen quietly to your secrets

About all the things and people you despise

Let your words get lost in my rumble

Let them swim with my fish to the seas

They'll rush and fall and tumble

They'll put your soul to ease

When you feel much better

Having everything off your chest

You can walk away with confidence

Because the river keeps secrets the best.
