The RideA Poem by Taylor.Spinning chaos of emotion. Is this really how our generation cherishes love?
Cinderella lived in a broken home.
Living on a wish. She fled from her prince. Full of negative thoughts. How could her prince ever accept her for who she really is? Leaving her slipper on the palace stairs. The prince searched throughout his kingdom for his beautiful butterfly. In the end he finds his love and accepts her for her true colors. We grew up on this s**t. Lied to. Expecting to find a man to accept us and love us. Yet here comes reality. Love is pain. Love is just a way to pass time. People fall in love, and get married... The next thing you know, the bed you shared is split. The love you shared is gone and your to stuck to leave. You tell yourself your happy. You lie and say the fire is still burning, yet deep down inside you know this isn't how you imagined growing old together. Soon he finds love in the arms of another. Your heart shatters. All you know is being ripped from you. Your hurt, numb, and so broken. The divorce papers sprawl out on the table. Around you go on a ride of hurt and sadness. Of love and happiness. The ride spins as it descends and rises. Eventually the track ends. Your dead. All you have to look back on is confusion, and a heart so mangled it turns to dust. -Taylor Biron © 2013 Taylor. |
