The UnknownA Poem by M.K. MasonJust a small piece of writing that was randomly in my head one day. So figured that I would get it on paper and now I am sharing. Not sure what to do, click to take a deeper look or leave it be and move along, he decided to view that profile. Without reading anything but only looking at he picture he decided to send the request and the message after. Typing just a simple message, this man set a chain of events that would lead to something more, something unknown. His name is John and her name is Jane; bored at home he sent her a friend request and a message shortly after. After months of working together in the same place, he took the chance. Trying to see what there I to this woman not expecting much to come from it. He thought she was was nothing but amazing, she was beautiful and fun. Thought she was nothing but perfect and couldn't wish for a better woman. Though she had her issues he still stuck around. She never understood why and nothing he could do would explain it. She has been through hell and worse than he could even imagine. But he still loved her regardless. She always ran from him every night and he would always chase her. Struggling to keep her safe, struggling to remind her she is loved. Depressed, sad, hurt, suicidal and slightly crazy she never thought she was good enough or worth anything. Yet, she was worth it to him. He's always afraid to lose her, she's always afraid to lose him. Though promising to never leave, she still fears that he will. When she made small mistakes she worried that he'd leave but he stayed with a smile and loved her that much more. Hiding her past scars and worried he'll find them. Scared he won't like what's those scars. If only she was honest with herself that this amazing man dropped into her life suddenly and she needs to let someone in before she destroys herself. But is this the man that will keep her from falling completely apart. © 2017 M.K. Mason |
