Not My Only High

Not My Only High

We're gonna build an empire baby,
I can feel it.
I think about it daily and at night, I dream it.

We spent the last year feeling like the world was against us
Calling love lust, only because we were afraid of the way it looked thinks would turn out.

But just look at us now.
You can't fight fate, as hard as we tried
and now I think it's possible we'll make a baby Mike.

You're not in my arms, but you're in my head and my heart.
And if we can make it through these six months apart,
I think maybe fate might let us make art.

I'm telling you baby,
This is something great's start
I'm telling you baby,
We're art. We're art.

Remember that time when you first let me in?
I swear to God something changed in your eyes,
Like they were finally open; I was finally inside.
Since then, I've been better at reading your mind,
Seeing your games, and known you were mine.

You keep me on track, you keep me in line,
You're so good for me despite being my partner in crime.
Since week one, since we did those first lines,
I knew we were something else; the drugs weren't my only high.
I swear, it's in your eyes.
They're not my only high.
