Lily comes of age

Lily comes of age

A Poem by Rick r
"

Poem constructed on my front porch the morning my daylilies bloomed.

"
She spreads her yellow wings
To sun and sky an offering
Gold nectar dew she brings
To Ruby-throat a'humming
Sweet song of waning spring
And lily in the morning.

This is so pretty. I wish I could see a lilly...sounds like a flowered butterfly...

thank you, Marie.
Nature is really a good subject in poetry. One simple thing that caught your attention for a moment, and here it comes... a splendid piece.
Thank you for bringing us the beauty of your place, r. Keep it up!
