Mango Tears

Mango Tears

A Poem by Rick r
"

Poem regarding recent tragic event in the village of Katra, India.

"

Beneath the mango tree
death turns slowly -
creaks the branches/
untouchable - the tears
hanging low above the ground -
slowly swinging - no more singing/
beneath the mango tree.

I have always admired Dickinson's use of nonconventional breaks. I borrow her style here not to write a Dickinson-like piece, but for use of the technique.

I really like the title here, it really stands out and feels unique, as does your style and approach to writing it. I especially enjoyed the last few lines. Good Job.
