Another Gorgeous Face

Another Gorgeous Face

A Poem by D.E. Ball
"

I believe my sister to be bipolar, like our dad, and the symptoms of the disease are now showing through her actions.

"

Another Gorgeous Face

I see a tragic waste,

Another gorgeous face,

Being lost to instantly-gratifying thrills.

Every intoxicating drink you spill

Down the well of your throat,

And the photos you proudly gloat

Cannot hide the fact

That you're suffering; your smiles are an act--

An imperfect disguise that cannot mask,

The you that wants to ask,

Scared and silenced, for help.

It sums up well the shallowness of those who think they are gorgeous, yet inside they are ugly.
Nice work D.
