Euphoria, Everlasting

Euphoria, Everlasting

A Poem by poetictori

My skin is delicate, identical to the organ inside my chest
Fragile, I am
As I am unsealed,
Unwrapped with steady hands
And exposed to rich colors that I have yet laid my eyes upon
An infinite sensitivity surfaces my being
I dip my hands into immortality like strawberries and chocolate
And like a soft petal that gently glides with every stroke of air
I fall, waiting for earths' cotton pillows to barricade my downward spiral

This is quite lovely it leaves one with the thought that no matter how delicate we are, we are equally resilient and fearless.

I think this piece is rich in imagery and beautiful metaphors. I like the personal touch you've given it and how it grabs the attention of (this) reader from the very first line.
When I came by this poem of yours some days back, I was writing a poem of my own, and your title inspired the title of my piece 'Forever Laid ~ In Everlasting Ink', so thank you for that.
Very nicely penned.

I use this site as a safe place for some of my poetry. I've had mishaps countless times with accidently throwing my handwritten poetry away. At the same time, I might as well share some of it...but ba.. more..
