The Unfortunate Art of Being Taken Away

The Unfortunate Art of Being Taken Away

A Poem by poetictori

Slabs of cold marble savor the indents of my profile,
I am taken away
My body plunges forward composed of impulsive desire
Escape to escape
For I am foreign,
Foreign,
Within the life that falls beneath my skin
Subsequently, I stumble onward to the left
With intentions to stand stagnant, I totter side to side
As a boat rocking unsteadily amid the worst conditions
The aftermath shows an xray of my crushing skull
In addition, my organs cease existence due to ongoing combat
And the downfall under my eyes at no time comes to a halt
I am taken,
away
