The Magic in the WorldA Poem by ToriSchrodi
When I was young I thought magic was real.
I could've sworn I was a witch. Or a werewolf. I didn't want to be ordinary. I wanted to be... Different. I later learned that magic was in fact, real. Just not in the way I thought it did. Magic exists in the human mind. Musicians who create symphonies. Or geniuses who create technologies that make life easier. Artist who create masterpieces. Magic exists deep in the ocean. Where creatures have adapted to survive in their dark unforgiving world. Where bioluminescence is used to light their way. Magic exists in the stars. That twinkle in our night sky. In the thousands of planets and galaxies that are in our universe. So no... There are no witches or werewolves in our world. But there is magic. There is magic in the human mind. In the depths of our oceans. And the night sky above us. So never tell a child that magic doesn't exist. Because it does. You just have to be clever enough to find it.
