Hmmm... this poem is pretty smooth and speaks volumes, but the lines, "his smile is shy, oh my," kind of breaks that flow. Maybe think of changing that one? Aside from that it's good and sends out a message that should be spread more. What I like about you is that you write about stuff that's worth talking about, and this is definitely one of those.

Damn this made me kind of sad. I would hate to know someone that is in a relationship like that. More than likely I'd probably be fighting the guy... I mean it's only fair haha ... and it it was my sister... well you can't post stuff that gruesome on here :) Awesome work my friend I loved it!

It's easier said than done, unfortunately. Many people suffer for years in abusive relationships before getting out, and even then the scars haunt them for life. Others never get out. Some, tragically, get out through death. Your words describe what it is like, at some level, for so many. Well-written.
