Forget-me-not

Ever heard of the phrase forget me not well this is a poem with the same message but with the deduction of cliches. It also deal with the them of time and philla (friendship love) with a beautiful flo

Forget me not dear friend
(Written for a dear friend
who was taken by time)


So let say
We live forever
Life's greatest gift
Bestowed upon us

We live
We laugh
We fight
For a decade or so
Observing how time changes
Withering our amusement to ashes

We grow bold
As time grows old
Saying such things
That time can not erase
Spilling dark secret
Locked in the closest
......Saying this
.....and that
...and those
..,.., and such

".............................then.........silence.........
As we watch time cast are friendship in the past
Erase all laughter
Till the sound of our names becomes unheard

Then finally
Toss our useless body in time's line
You in the future
And I, in the past
Watching as you evolve with the future
Moving on and on
Till my face and name
Is but a whisper
And I, in tragic past
Unable to move forward
With each step taken
Worth nothing

But only take 3 steps backwards
In self pity and loathe
For time plays a cruel joke
Forces me to watch our friendship wither

Again and again and again
Till am unable to take any more
Whilst you, in the future
Forget my presence
And find a replacement
With he or she
Live
Laugh
And fight
Till forever come to an end

So let not say
We live forever
Reject life's immortal gift
Let us live by our life line
Knowing one day
We will return to dust
Let know how short
Our time together may be
So we don't grow bored
With our little games

Let grow bold
As times grows old
But hide our tiny secret
In the closet
Then, Burn it down
To protect our little friendship
Let us grow together
Gossip about our lovers and their lovers past
Preach about ideals and such for the future
Have our disagreement about he or she in present

But most of all
Let us
Live
Laugh
fight

........but if ever sleep should hold you hostage
In your final moments

Punctuations like coma and full stops have not been included deliberately because I want poem to flow as if water running down you back. Weird but it works. Enjoy.
