Way Verlane

Way Verlane

A Poem by Anthony Medina

France

Brazill

woke up

tent

two women you loved disagree

Mom closes out the book of poetry

with her version of Amazing Grace

Elenore believes in me

when i say the most outrageous things

kinda

panning like the end of 2pac resurection

Majestic

flag draped

only flag in the world

carrying contradictory beauty

who got the nerve

all night we danced

i was 19

in my first club

dancing with this beautiful argentinian girl

not knowing

buying her a drink

outside her and i posed for a picture sent it to my best friend

whole knight

night ain’t ever end
