The Magic of Growing UpA Poem by Tonya's CoffeeWritesWe all grow up, there is no doubt. We sometimes forget though, what it's all about. We were all born as babies, we all started out new. We seen with our eyes, learned to laugh too. We were taught about all, the world had to show. We grew with our minds, so many ways more. As we got bigger, life begun to change. There seemed to be, a much bigger range. We played in the rain, we learned new skills We pulled one another, out of muddy hills We watched movies alone, danced hours in bars. We shared our love together, under the moon and stars. We grew so much strength, love and endurance. We worked hard for a living and insurance. We had babies and begun our own family. As we taught them the best kindness and harmony. We done what we could, as how we were taught, that you love and protect, all from the heart. We became grandparents, it's a new kind of love. Those beautiful little faces, like feathers of a dove. They would ask us, "what all have you seen"? Oh the stories we could tell them of all the fun things. So see it is true, we grow up like it's told. Though the amazing thing is, in honest reality, we never grow old. © 2015 Tonya's CoffeeWritesAuthor's Note
