Elusive Morel

I wrote this for the shape contest.the shape is write when I put on edit,but it is not coming out right on the finished poem.

      

                                  I

                               Walk

                            In forrest

                         Breath spring

                       Searching for you

                     Patches of beautiful

                    Following south ridges

                  Deep into the oak and ash

                 Fungi that begins the season

               Hiding among mossy tree trunks

                Elusively peeking out of leaves

                 I feel a bit guilty picking you

                              But your

                              Yummy

                               Filled

                                With

                          Antioxidents

Author's Note

I have never wrote a poem that doesn't rhyme before.I have spent the last three days hunting these tasty fungi.I have eaten so many I am sick.I love the whole experience of the Morel.The walk in the forrest in spring.The way you sharpen your gathering skills.It is easy to get lost,so you have to work on your dead reckoning skills.The best part is cooking the morel.When they are done they pop like rice krispies.They taste so good.If you have not had them you are missing out.

That's a wonderful poem! I congratulate you on your clever choice of shape and topic! I never would have thought of fungi, but they do inerest me with their digestive process. Imagine if we ate like them. I would stick my hand in bread, insert digestive chemicals, and suck up the broken down bread. Anyways, great job! :D
