Standing In The Rain On a Hot Summers Day

Standing In The Rain On a Hot Summers Day

A Poem by Revolutionary

Listening to the raindrops
Pounding the parched earth
Watching each drop of water
As it plummets to the ground
Smell the asphault steam
Underneath the moisture
Feel the nutrients
Bathing your skin
As the rain comes pouring down

I like how you take snapshots and describe them. I can smell the asphalt. I know its chemical but I like the smell of rain on a hot day with the asphalt. Nice work.

Very descriptive and nice usage of imagery to set the mood. I personally love the scent of rain upon the asphalt and watching rain fall from the clouds... Great job!
