Definitely no to fire ant's as tenants - I freaked out at a wasp's nest in my yard Samue! Called in the exterminators and hid in the house until he was done.

oh my goodness...they show that and a whole lot more ... their numbers and groupings and focus are marvelous ..(i googled them because of your poem ;) and they wax and wane with the weather and sex activity ;) i also found it fascinating that they have "no ant" zones surrounding their "territory" ... women are the workers surrounding the queen ...;) great title .. its as important as your poem ... works so well together ...
