Musings of a fireplace

A Story by Tony Jordan

The anthracite
is strong in this one
Thought the Sith fireplace
Burns like a light-sabre through butter
Much better than the old logs
Especially Jame's Kirks - they were full of crap
This new coal helped me create...
I created Luke...luke-warm water
with the heat of my fiery temperament
The emperor is a constant companion-set
since I became the hottest ticket here.
He even gave me a grate name
Yes...I like being called
Hearth Vader !!

You just gotta laugh at the serious story behind this story, That Luke warm, was just to good to be true.
As for beam me up Scotty. Scotty really should have retorted. What the f**k you doing down there in the first place. Though Hearth Vader. You don't want him visiting you anytime soon. lol

i am always amazed at your depths, twists and turns. one would need a pick-ax with helmet and light to explore the depths of you and still need a ticket ...

You are a Word-Master! Crack me up every time....Star Trek to Star Wars to "Luke Warm-water" and "Hearth Vader"- priceless humor! Caprain Kirk would throw a coronary! Love your wit and humor. Thank you for this my friend!

Being a renegade, I've never watched any of the Star Wars movies, so I'm not fully plugged in to your every clever reference . . . but even with limited background to draw from, I totally love your amazing word play in this poem! I have the ultimate admiration for imaginations that can combine the idea of a fireplace and this movie series. Who thinks of stuff like this? It's amazing to me, a more straightforward & linear writer. The "luke . . . lukewarm" . . . and "grate name" are just a couple of your playful word craftings (((HUGS)))

May The Force be with you. A very creative piece that speaks of our fondness on childhood characters we watched and enjoyed tremendously as you have just done. You creativity is limitless...:)..............

Yeah, but good utter tosh! You have used words cleverly. I only saw and heard glimpses of these things as my children followed them on telly, but I thought your poem made sense , even though I probably did not get all the references. I like sitting by the fireside anyway!
