A senryu In memory of Marie. A wonderful writer and friend to many here. She loved to herald each season with a poem...

I got here too late to know Marie, but I've seen so many tributes to her, I can tell how beloved she was on this website! This is an awesome spring poem with flowing enjambment & it touches on such a precious aspect of remembering Marie's writing traditions!

She was a fine poet - nobody could match her ability to convey so much with simple words.
Thank you very much for reviewing this one.
Hi Tony: I learned of Marie through Sam Dickens page, then I found out months ago that she had passed. How touching of you to honor her here. Love your senryu to her.
I love the play on words in the last stanza of her poem: "With its ancient,
New surprise." Nature indeed is ancient, but we get to experience it anew each season. RIP in your new and eternal season, Marie.
It's always unfortunate when someone passes away, i never had the chance to meet her but after reading more of her works I know I would have liked her. What a wonderful tribute to her. :)
I've never heard of Marie until now, so thank you for introducing me to her and her wonderful poetry.
As for this senryu, I enjoyed it. It's sad and hopeful at the same time. Thank you for sharing.
Stunning in its brevity TJ, what a beautiful tribute. It's wonderful when these souls come into our lives they give and leave more than they know. R xo
Just writing to get it out
