For YumnaKay - Thank you

For YumnaKay - Thank you

A Poem by Tony Jordan
"

There are those who have the blood of altruism rushing through them...

"
A pat on the back
just as your energy is flagging
in a race which you are both running
Or a whisper in your ear, which makes you
lift your face to the wind
When a task ahead is dreaded
A smile from across the room
which lifts weights from you
When your head is lowering
A hand touching your arm
when you felt as if you might float
in the void on a zephyr of sadness
Or a joke without malice
which says much more than the
sum of it's words
Sometimes the smallest gesture
Can mean the world...

A very nice, well-worded tribute. It leaves a soft and sweet feeling in the reader. "on a zephyr of sadness", that's an epic line.

I'm glad you find such goods words for her. This is def a good support, encouragement and strength provider.

You two are somehow cute in your ways of friendship. :)

This is beautifully stated & shows us the fondness that goes along with the caring details of friendship. It is the simple things & you've captured some of them with originality & tenderness.

So very true that the smallest gesture can mean so much; can lift that sense of isolation we all sometimes feel.

Just a fleeting smile is all it takes to make the world seem beautiful again.

Beccy.

Nicely observed and so true. The smallest things can lift us or re-direct us. Hope you don't mind me pointing out that the it's should be its. But basically I'm floating in the void on a zephyr ... of post tummy upset wastedness! Some very nice phrasing. Nice job!

This is just beautiful, and the last line reveals pure truth. Much of my early life was at the bottom of everything. No need to tell the story, but I swear I remember every one of those sparks of hope that someone gave me. Now, I try to give that back. This one really touches me.
