I'm musing about capo style straddling ... garters by the ankle, below the knee, above the knee, or even higher. Hard to play when it gets too high - fingers trip over themselves, just like ... (I have a song I play on capo 7; nightmare). Tony, I enjoy these analogies. Nice job! Nigel

I like those capo straddling thoughts lol - reverse cowboy was in mind ...ooops...lol
Thanks Nigel
Hiya Tony! Considering my love of music, this one made me really happy. I laughed a little on 'capo style'. This is a really cool metaphor. It does leave room for lots of interpretations.
I do agree with your statement...music is love. :)

What a beautiful piece this is...love the musical correlations...so perfect! Too bad life doesn't lead us to more sweet duets. Nicely done!

How to pluck the strings of a heart. Loved the metaphors, particularly how the pitch of your love is set by the capo.

Fortunately, I was able to continue with my other love of lieder singing, so not all was lost. Typing is still a "hit and miss" occupation, though:-D
Memories I have found, (especially more recently,) are mostly best left as memories. Your poem oozes love from every pore and love of course is what will always linger.
Quite lovely and made more so by your exquisite word choice.
Beccy.

THIS! THIS! THIS! This is profound in everything it does not say. This sends my imagination tearing through every cell of my body creating so much more. I can hear your lover's symphony and it is sweet, beautiful - to beautiful to be lost in words.
Tony - this is absolute perfection.
"What was
will always remain
amidst the reverberations
endless reflections
of our
sweet duet"
So much in so very little. A crack in the door, begging the reader to open it wider and invest their own duet in its place, to remember, to rejoice, to pine, to regret, to long, to celebrate - all of the duets.
I absolutely love this piece.

;) Its a pleasure always Tony. I agree a lot about the sugar coated memories.
You obviously like that long-hair stuff (original not hippie.) Though, you probably enjoy many music genres.
"The Perfect Fifth" puts enchanting lyrics to a universally classic arrangement.
Great movement!

Really beginning to appreciate forties stuff--pop and swing.
Also dig a lot o' jazz; love the sax!
