I loved this one! I think that although outward beauty is a sight to behold, whenever it's matched with inward beauty, there is nothing more stunning and breath taking, whether we're speaking of a male or female, and the viewer can't help but to swoon in their presence.
When you add integrity to that mix, now that is an unbeatable combination.
Just some thoughts that came to mind, as I read through your delightful offering.
Wishing you well...
Alisa ;-)

I don't think I've met too many that have 'all that going on' sadly, many people I have met and am friends with various combos of those 3 attributes and I wouldn't change them for the world.
Your thoughts are always, always welcome.
Thank you for your visit Alisa.
Best wishes my friend.

Wow. I like the last part especially with the bolded words.
I do hate how simply people's genes can decide whether or not they are beautiful or if they are worth it.

I think the genes - as they're mapped will prove to be vastly more influential than anyone ever thought in terms of many things once considered 'traits' and 'attributes'
Yes, and beautiful people often are 'left out' because others feel they themselves are not as good and will be rejected!!! Love the shape of your poem

Thank you for your words Astri.

Apparently, the presence of great human beauty is sometimes regarded as a living rebuke to many of the far less comely.
Have always thought beauty was a precious gift--to both possessor and beholder.
Insightful poem, Tony.

We live in a society that reveres beauty and envies it. If we dislike someone, flaws become magnified, even invented. We downplay flaws in loved ones, until they are unloved, at which point they become ugly. But if we grow, we see that life is not that way. Nice study of human nature.

The eyes have it every time; as for consensus, one man's meat, thankfully, has always been another man's poison. :))
