Beautiful people are often bullied for their looks by the jealous.

Your almond shaped 

eyes are smokey

hypnotic pools

of the deepest hues

Swimming in them 

even a quick dip

from a quick glance

is a mesmerising salve

Your cheek bones are high

and pronounced

Your nose classic perches

on a curvaceous philtrum 

Your lips are 

naturally plump and pout 

the most perfect cupid's bow

Your face is almost perfect 

symmetry

People stare ~ because

beauty inspires awe.

So is it your fault you're 

beautiful

Should you be made to feel 

guilty

for having genes which 

mold your countenance

into society's consensus - their idea of

beautiful ?

Aloha Tony,

I loved this one! I think that although outward beauty is a sight to behold, whenever it's matched with inward beauty, there is nothing more stunning and breath taking, whether we're speaking of a male or female, and the viewer can't help but to swoon in their presence.

When you add integrity to that mix, now that is an unbeatable combination.

Just some thoughts that came to mind, as I read through your delightful offering.

Most females who are beautiful, don't accept that they are, and some who aren't that beautiful are often seen boasting about their beauty a lot.

I like the way you've expressed what actually the definition of a beautiful female :)

I loved the entire piece, but the last stanza was my favorite, since it has so much to be perceived and said to all beautiful women out there :)

Rich and layered. Giving thought to a topic most consider shallow and proving so many things. Producing valid points in a style that is almost contradictory to the points made. I love that type of dichotomy in your work.
I am reminded of the story from my youth, probably apochcryphal, about beautiful women that never had meaningful relationships because all males were too shy and their beauty got in the way. They were seen as aloof to the majority.

Ever since reading about the mapping of the genome (I think it was a fruit fly lol), the march of the technology has fascinated me.
I have seen women who are regarded as the most beautiful, on TV chat shows lament that their beauty does put men off - intimidates them or entices the 'wrong sort'.

The night was quiet. The haggis are in hibernation and I am busy painting. I would have raised a wee dram but I am on meds at the moment that prevent even that. Oh woe is me. I'm white with pain but you never hear me complaining.
Your mention of the fruit fly reminds me of my favourite Groucho quote. "Time flies like an arrow.... fruit flies like a banana".

I based this on a young woman (Katie Piper - aspiring model) who had acid thrown in her face by a complete stranger and the motive is thought to be jealousy. She has become an inspiration in the UK.
