Some women are to die for... while this is true, there are some absolutely beautiful men out there that have the same effect on women.
And by beautiful, I mean so beautifully handsome... you just have to stop and stare...
I enjoyed this one...
Wishing you well.

Thanks Gorthi - I agree beauty does evoke joy but in some it also sparks the envy monster, sadly.read moreThanks Gorthi - I agree beauty does evoke joy but in some it also sparks the envy monster, sadly.

The protagonist is begging for interaction. There must be a rejoinder poem to follow in which the action will take place somewhere - outside of her mind?

It began as an homage to the woman in the poem then morphed into something quite accusatory and condemning - didn't mean it that way - I guess it says a lot about me.
Thank you for reviewing and commenting Bev.
I appreciate your thoughts.

Oh my.... I should say you titled this work appropriately. I do love a poem that sends me right back to the beginning each time I finish - eating up every last crumb. This was simply delicious. Well done.

Thank you L.R.
I'm gob-smacked.
Love this review!

This piece is so very thoughtful. It leaves me thinking that this is a woman who is very happy with herself; confident.
"Men cry;
cry themselves
to sleep
- her in mind." - This leads me to believe that, since it's in her own head, she believes that she is "killin it" and dropping them dead; very satisfied with how she looks. This is a really strong feature that not a whole lot of woman have these days and I cherish that, in my personal interpretation of this piece, she has the inner stability to be proud of herself
the downfall of many a man. can't live with 'em & can't live without 'em. nice job on this. many memorable lines and clever imagery. good flow. title sums up. :)
Beautiful work! While all you've described is her lashes and tight pants, I've gathered the image of a beautiful woman, perhaps one who is trying too hard to get those men to cry, seeing as how in the end, they're only crying in her mind. Wonderful piece!
Just writing to get it out
My avatar is an actual slice of an onion that I cut up and I kept and froze - it reminds me of the saying - If you don't laugh, you cry. more..
