I used craic in a dual-role here so I think your Irish bones responded involuntarily. Like when we hear the Uilleann pipes and our hairs stand on end and we want to fight the nearest Englishman. Kidding.
I glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your visit Starzy

I think all creatives believe in the old magick

Could not agree more. About both old wounds and magick. Magick is real and all around us all the time. This is actually quite a lovely lyrical piece this that flows gently onto the surface of the mind and entreats the reader towards the same calm but intelligent ideals. You are important! This we should believe.

I did want it to be a pep-talk for all - none of us are less than any other and by looking for life's magick (something you are a 5th Dan Black Belt at) we can find strength. Always appreciate your worms of wisdy Ken!!

Particularly 'Meetings with Remarkable men' and Beeelzebubs Tales to his Grandson and Life is real only when I am. The three parts of his sometimes obscure but very interesting teaching trilogy. Meetings is the most accessible and I found the most enjoyable. There is a marvellous, possibly aprochraphal tale of his meeting with the Beast, the erstwhile Mr Crowley.

I too am fascinated with these esoteric things originally mainly through my series paintings. You will find them mentioned throughout the poems and in particular 'The Confounded Letters' mostly.

As you know they live exclusively on the very top peaks of mountains. Consequently two of the four legs are shorter than the other. The common right legged haggis are the one’s familiar to every school child. But your true haggis eater prefers the rarer left legged.. Obviously they are out of season just now. It being the middle of the rut. You can hear the antlered males trumpeting around the hillsides with their common calls of ‘just now’, ‘by the way’ and ‘stop yer blather’.
However, I digress. To catch your haggis, (and for the purpose of this I’m going to talk about the left footed’ because I personally think they taste better). You climb to the very peak of your mountain. Of course your haggis will see you coming but cannot move far because of the leg situation. You then move purposely around the top of the mountain, just below the summit, in a clockwork direction. The haggis will obviously move ahead of you in the same direction. Tartan markings resplendant in the sunlight. These markings change according to geographical location, obviously. After a few circuits it is a simple matter to fool the haggis by changing direction and chase them the other way. They then ttry unsuccessfully to turn around and fall off the mountain and if you are lucky skin themselves on the way down.

I wouldnt be able to eat the wee beastie after all thon carry on anyway. Away wi' ye!!
I'd probably want to make it a pet haggis and train it to fetch the old Yoda slippers and train it to not eat the remote for the TV.
Then I might even show the wee fella (no...wait...let me finish mate) - show the wee fella at Crufts I was going to say - if you'd have let me finish or the haggis equivalent of same. I reckon rearing a pedigree haggis would be a priiiity good earner and we could gentically mod them to grow tatties on their knee joints.
