Touching love

Touching love

A Poem by Tony Jordan

touch her
fingertips with yours in
a slow methodical
dance of the digits from index
to pinky
then thumb press gently forward
and feel
the resistance melt
let your palms find each
other
feel both souls reaching ~

illuminating

knowing

forgiving

promising

loving

I'm not a big fan of romance - here I go again - but, you've done it again, you can not only do it with emotions, you can also do it with simple acts, make them into thingies like this that can actually tempt me to get into romance, it is as if each frame of a single motion was captured and worked on by hundreds of artists - well not exactly like that, altho I like you I still wont say you're this great, neither am i dangit, but i like how you're able to "capture" these "frames" and the beautiful way you do it

Love is awkward by definition so you must have been tapping a good seam.

Thank you for your kind review Maria. I appreciate it very much.
:))
I don't think that I need to even write anything to express just how amazing this poem is, the shivers I got is expression enough!
At first I thought that the choice of style and rhytm was a bit odd, since I've never seen anything like it before, but for every sentence I read, I loved it more and more. Every word was like honey for my brain, a very pure depiction of fragile love. Thank you for this poem.

Ravishing and magnificent. The verses carries the elegance and the essence of the passions, the emotions and the feelings to a sublime magnitude with simplicity. Yes- simplicity. Simplicity is elegance indeed. Here you portray love and passion without any superfluous ornaments but through simple gestures imbued with a strong emotion.
"and feel

the resistance melt"

My favourite line here, just took me with awe.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Lovely write. Keep writing.
