"The pen might not be mightier than the sword, but maybe the printing press was heavier than the siege weapon. Just a few words can change everything" reminded me of this, even if a bit (Just a bit) out of context, reminds me of the hidden discrete power that these little yet big thingies can have

there is power in words and we must choose them carefully. they plant seeds inside of people and trigger emotions. never know when they will touch us and in what ways. 'the truth sets us free'. you come to acceptance of a love not meant to be by words shared.
"I can't explain how
well I can but it's weird..."
I like this part. When one finds the in between emotions and also expresses clearly the overall sentiment it is nice, like catching a glimpse of something you have passed by a bunch of times, but never caught, or fully noticed.

Nice to meet you! Thank you for reading and reviewing this one.
Love is all about being and setting free. So if you find yourself free and not bound in overwhelming emotions, may be she is "the one"...I am not trying to contradict anything in your poem but just my thought lol... beautifully written and smooth flow.

This is not a end of poem; this is an end of love song. It has melody, rhymn, and language that takes the reader into the protagonist's world. Excellent.

Thank you for reading and commenting my friend.
Isn't that a profoundly comforting thought?
Many of us are familiar with certain writers the perusal of whose work often "sets our minds right."
Thank God for those haze-clearers!
Outstanding poem, Tony!

Love the simplicity here, as well as the erratic breaks in meter. It speaks of a freshly renewed man still trembling from what bound him.
