The Beast

The Beast

A Poem by Tony DM Hayward

The story of the Beast is known.

He treads this life alone.

He keeps to the shadows, out of sight.

He hides away, he steals the night.

Looks matter despite what people say.

The Beast proves this day by day.

Loneliness is what he feels.

No love for him is what he deals.

Surely a beauty awaits his love.

There’s no such thing echo’s the morning dove.

For this is not a fairytale.

Just the life of a Beastly male.
