Beached Whale

Beached Whale

A Poem by Toni.S

Careless and lazy as we all can be,

Throwing our garbage into the sea.

We vacation for miles,

With faces filled with smiles.

As humpbacks compile,

Our old boxes and cups,

And then slowly destruct.

At the hands of man,

Who clearly understands,

That a whale is a whale,

A live being which is frail,

To waves of litter,

On beaches with sands of glitters.

Descriptive and written with great feeling. We are shameful in our behaviour towards the ocean and all the creatures living in it. Not just the ocean, but elsewhere too on our living planet. Nice piece of poetry.
