A cockeral's crow..

A cockeral's crow..

A Poem by Tom

A cockeral's crow like airy seeds that blow
permeates throughout the land,
never sent suspect, more a cahartic effect
on collared worker and farmhand
Whether at dawn, dusk or midst of day
'tis a call to resolve and bind,
lookout for one another, sister, brother
peace and goodwill to mankind

The wakeup call for another day as it is for every other day-nature issuing a voice for those who hear it no matter the time sent out, but with hope that those who are blessed to hear such a call will be kind to others, will respond with goodness for others!
Thanks for the reminder to heed the call! Let us not be one who hears and remembers not the ability we each have to make the world a better place with a bit of love and sharing!

We do have a habit of forgetting that we're all in this together and should lend a hand when required. After all, it might one day be ourself that need assistance and we will be hoping the person on the other side doesn't look at their feet and pretend they don't see us.
Nicely captured Tom.

Yes you got the gist of my little ditty, thank you Lorry!
The compassion of heart to write this, accompanied by its poignancy, is pretty amazing. So sorry it took me so long to discover its powerful message! Good to see you, Tom...as always!

Thank you Kelly, and as always good to see you 2 dear poet freind!!

I used to think & many still do that cockerels crow only in the mane & again in the evening .. however, from much personal experience (I keep a few hens & a young c**k) that is most definitely not the case at all, they crow whenever they bloomin feel like it .. Anyway, that said there is something rather endearing about the noise they make & certainly more gentle on ones ears than the noise of a pea hen first thing .. Nice little shortie Tom, much like my good self .. Neville

What a prayer. Especially in these name calling days.

I love the language of your poem and how all of it seems to happen unknowingly

If you are fortunate to hear a cockerel's crow before dawn, you will experience a good day, perhaps better than others, because this bird spreads its good will throughout the land...to all mankind..." a call to resolve, to bind and to bond with each other...
lovely Tom...we need this kindness desperately!
Warmly, B

Oh, how lovely to live in the countryside and wake each morning to the Cockerel's alarm clock call! It can be heard far and wide, Tom. Seems like heaven! I love the final two lines of this beautifully penned poem "Lookout for one another, sister, brother
peace and goodwill to all mankind" which proves you are an exceptionally good, kind, caring citizen of this planet we call "Earth!" You have captured the countryside so eloquently! Love this poem and thank you for sharing, Tom...

Most welcome always, Tom...
I suppose the little guy is on quest of searching it's fellow chicks around farmland, ever a merry, bright and serene telltale.
