"O summer sun where hath thy gone"? I just love the olde English, Tom. I love this wonderful ode to the missing sunshine. Somebody must have kidnapped the sun. We would willing pay a small ransome to have it back, we are so desperate at the moment. Never seen such a bad month of June before! It's as cold, wet and windy as the month of October! I guess your weather must be something the same? I love how you name out all the various things which benefit from the warmth of the sun and what things won't be available for the coming winter due to the lack of the sunshine also. The never ending bad weather is depressing and you make that point strongly in the ending lines of the poem. Great depiction! Excellent word choice! Only wish the sun could read your poem and chase all the clouds, rain, wind and cold away. What a joy it would be! Exceptional write, Tom. Love it! Thank you for sharing...

Friday next is the longest day, and days will begin very slowly to get shorter after that. Summer will soon make way for Autumn! But, we will keep hoping. Thank you again for sharing, Tom...

I like be the imagery of the summer sun bronzing skin and giving life to crops.
I’m ready to spring and summer sun with warmer temperatures and the gloom and barren winter brushed away

I love the style in which you write this. William Shakespeare would have to take a backseat to this stunning piece. Also, the subject so pertinent on a chilly gray morning here in North Carolina. I can sense the yearning behind each and every word as it matches my own feelings today. Perhaps the ‘autumn sun’ will shine later on today taking away from this morning’s gloom.

Ah yes!
Go for it.. set out upon a journey in search of the brightest golden rays of life that uplift the spirit, revives the body, heals that which is in need of a bit of healing, and gives cause for the heart to add an extra beat to a tired and depleted existence beaten by the cold days and nights of darkness, all while painting the artist's palette with golden rays of liquid rejuvenation!
I so enjoyed each line, and the song which adds even more meaning to your brilliant way of delivering a message with varied interpretations.
May the sun ever shine down upon you, my friend!
