Dear children one and all now Winter has followed Fall nigh the time for benevolence dreams of Christmas gifts, stockings filled, joyous suspense sweets, toys from wish-lists Yet sadly, not every child so imaginatively beguiled With seasonal, icy wind and whine the impoverished are less inclined to look ahead with hopes high of gift wrapped parcels, spread, neath conical evergreen, O' why? Festive aspirations it must be said, hold little sway, lowly ranked if cold and hunger are encamped Others know sadness, through loss that empty chair, supplants gloss loved family member, stricken, cruel malaise, yuletide spoiler repressed appetite for turkey, chicken not Santa, but black Fairy, bunny boiler cold call in stealth, imbued death kiss stole life, left broken hearts for Christmas Dear children, may your dreams fulfil wide-eyed, lavish gifts, such thrill then as cold, north wind doth blow snuggle under duvets, keep warm within each home, love overflow chasten chill, temper storm be grateful, don't take for granted not every child's Christmas, will be enchanted! © 2022 TomFeatured Review
