A Perfect Holiday !

Well it's my cup of tea !

They say a relaxing vacation, to a far off, exotic location
will chase those blues away.
Roasting daily in the sun, till you're baked and overdone,
for many, is a worthwhile holiday!

Or perhaps a foreign cruise, is even better news
to boost that flagging drive?
Indeed what could be finer, onboard an ocean liner,
watching playful dolphins, leap and dive?

Yes, no doubt it is pleasure, to recreate at leisure
on golden sands or becalming, deep blue sea.
But what if I get badly burned, or seasick and interned?
Alas, neither destination is for me!

So I've conceived a master plan, I'm renaissance man
to fill my summer days with blissful glee.
Guaranteed, cheerful fun, neath a temperate sun,
and all are very welcome, to this jamboree!

Dressed in white glad rags, my kit in zipped up bags
I'm setting off to join a merry throng.
For my golden holiday ticket, is spent playing cricket,
why don't you pack your case and come along?

But hey i can cheer you guys from here :) this is indeed an enlightening write .. the things which satisfy our soul should be followed even though it means burning in the hot sun.. i loved the description of sea and lucky dolphins. Nothing like spending our past times vacationing and playing our favorite type of sports. It keeps us wise and fit for the next challenge of life. Cricket is one of those great ones. I know you love cricket. A divine game. A rage in my part of the world too, it's one of the best ways to have a great vacation and keep fit too. Here in India, we have a long 2 month summer vacation and guess what boys in every locality do all day? Yes, play serious cricket. :)

Yes indeed DIVYA, where I come from the weather is not just as dry & warm through summer as it would be in your part of the world, but many from the Asian community who work here,play cricket with us my and every one of them loves the game and are excellent players!

And I just love an Indian take-away after a match on a Saturday night !!
