Inspired by Emma Joy's 6th Global Christmas collaboration ..
The achievements of man are many, industrious and sublime from electricity, television and computers, even spaceships fine but his efforts pale into insignificance, appearing dull and vague, when I gaze in awe at a tiny hatchling, emerging from an egg!
We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Man can only create, devil can manipulate, but God can make the impossible happen- that is what miracle is.Darwinism nor industrial mellenism can explain why an egg hatches and how a tiny life evolves from it.You have magnified this incident with your perceptive thoughts Tom.

simple is the best...i miss my youth, when everything seemed so much more simple...and the thrill for me was watching a calf be born on a farm in Ryegate, Vermont...this brought that memory back.

Hey, Tom. Your theme before in your pieces are mostly about cricket...now it's about animals, huh!
I like the conciseness of your poem, with good choice of words and rhyme scheme.
I enjoyed the verse.

Thank you Emma Joy not only for you complimentary review but for the inspiration !!
Yes, the magnificence of nature....nothing can compare to it. When witnessing something as beautiful as a hatchling emerging from the egg, we realize what a small piece human beings play in the vast universe. Great attitude, beauitiful imagery, and wonderful rhyming, Tom. Lydi**
