What a delightful poem, Tom! Among all those other black and white creatures, the pup is the one who will be there waiting anxiously for your return at night, maybe even bringing you your slippers. Loved the rhyme scheme, too, it helped make the poem smile.
Awww, I was gonna guess giant ant-eater, Tom! Ha! Bless you for having six. I have two fur babies that keep me quite busy. I couldn't imagine life without them, though. Cute, cute Poem! Angi~
Oh Tilly sounds absolutely adorable, and even though a "sometimes silly-billy" a cherished part of your family!! I know my dogs are/have been a major part of my family!!!
As a dog lover, you could not please me more with a write as this!! I also liked hearing of all the other critters which reminds me of how diverse our animal and bird and amphibian, and, and, and, are!!!
A delightful read in wonderful rhyme!!!

Tom, this is absolutely adorable! No, I didn't think you would tolerate a skunk in your presence and a cow, well, that would be too much work. A little Shi-tzu seems perfect for you...and the rhyming in this poem is perfect too! Lydi**
