You have set to pen of page a most enthralling philosophical piece of excellent Poetry that does well to stir the imagination nation within the mind of that men are taught as conditioned and programed mentally to perceive is to believe as truths that are lies of Religion's Bullshit that ain't diddly s**t, but lies, lies, lies, and more lies upon lies to fool guys like you and I, in teaching us of an alleged God which the The Church & her whorish Protest-ant daughters proclaim as Love, but knows nothing of Love, else He as a dumbass s**t would not have violated said as alleged Virgin Mary, the betrothed wife of another man forced into the position of raising another's child, whilst being more loving and merciful than is such a proclaimed God, himself, so as to NOT claim his Israelite Torah written and said right to have his violated and ravished betrothed wife stoned to death, but, instead, to determine to love her, anyway of anyhow, for of us less than God-like ways as a man who obviously was more right of rightly Godly and Righteous than was/is that alleged and speculated as proclaimed in the name of Bullshit God, Himself ...
I loved this wonderfully honest and sincerely written piece of Poetry ...

Marvin Thomas Cox-Flynn de Graham, many thanks for your visit and thoughtful review!
I wanted to go back in time to one of your first posts, Tom. Here you transport us to the highest heavens, to the very throne of our Zeus, and show us that such a being cannot possess some of our simplest of pleasures and delights. And what a perfect flow and form!

This is a fantastic read. As much power as Zeus has he can not compete with a mere mortal in the love department. Adding to library now!

Love has many facets....many sides....and you have captured love through the eyes of a God.....what a unique prespective this is! It's almost as if Zeus is jealous of the power love possesses. Very good! Lydi**
Your ability to look at love from the perspective of Zeus - the almighty, the all knowing, yet not the all knowing when it comes to human emotion and love is most interesting! It makes me stop and think of how blessed we are to be able to FEEL, to experience LOVE!!
A very enjoyable read!!
ooh i love this! It is a different take on zeus and i love how you showed him as mighty at the beginning and further down, as a god who envies mortal beings for our human traits of love. well penned! enjoyed this very much!
I love how you've shown Zeus' perspective in this poem.. a mere observer of love rather than someone who is actually experiencing the love. Through that, you were really able to emphasise the true power of love - how it is infinite times more powerful than any godly power... I find the use of contrast between Zeus' power and the power of love really interesting and clever... You've given me a whole new insight into the true power of love..
Well done :)
You express a philosophical message here with some great lines. There's a price for being a god, a price that a mortal would rather not pay. Gods are doomed to live within the hell of living with their loveless selves through all eternity.
