Beginings

Beginings

A Poem by Tom Henman
"

Texting strangers on KIK really put some unexpectedly philosophical thoughts inside my head, this is the result: A poem about first impressions...

"

Oh how these things all start the same, love and heartbreak; I've barely introduced my name how long will it all take

Before I get my answer, my sweet sweet clarity, all I know is that you’re a dancer, a good one evidently

The unknown sides of each other, this gorgeous mystery, do I want to go further, or make it all history

I guess I might just get hit, if I get far too keen, but I am not getting it, just staring at the screen

Our relationships on hold but will you be the one for me, all those problems will be resolved, but another day
