Lullaby Or Not

Lullaby Or Not

A Poem by Tomi

Lengthy days and endless nights

Empty skies and dragonflies

Ending truths and dirty lies

It’s no wonder the baby cries

Scary dreams and deadly snares

Happiness flees as sorrow nears

Growing hatred and flowing tears

It’s no wonder the baby fears

Tiny rocks and flowing rivers

Suicide hikes and deadly fevers

Vanishings and brutal killers

It’s no wonder the baby shivers

Singing birds and subtle sounds

Gorgeous flowers and endless breeze

Soul, romance and buoyant clouds

It’s no wonder the baby sleeps

I like how you give the reasons first and then save the last sentenece to back up the reasons, very nice work!! :)

I believe a lot in reading peoples auras and this poem reminded me of how people say babies can read peoples auras better than anyone else. It flowed really well and reminded me of a very disturbing lullaby because of the actual context. Nice work!

I really like it and it kind of reminds me of my own poems. everything is good, the rhythm, rhyme, equal verses and parts...

To a child. A calm voice talking is a lullaby. I like the lullaby. Nice flow of real thoughts and good visions create by strong statements. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
