The Trees At The Back Of Christ-Hill

The Trees At The Back Of Christ-Hill

A Poem by Tomi
"

Its about the Vast forest that surrounded my Secondary school. P.S Twas a boardin school. Thank you for reading :)

"

Green by day, frightening at night

Wealth of leaves that stirs the breeze

A house to pests, a home to birds

The trees at the back of Christ Hill

The drums at night: that halt your sleep

The songs of crickets that just won’t sleep

The smell of poultry, the smell of pigs

The trees at the back of Christ Hill

A place to hide, a ground for adventures

Rumours of witchery, true or not

A mystery known yet unsolved

The trees at the back of Christ Hill

Covering a place of great people

Covering a Home, a school, a family

The City on the Hill will not be the same

Without the trees at the back of Christ Hill
