Auld Lang Syne

Auld Lang Syne

A Poem by Tomi
"

A tribute to sweet memories, love, remembrance..A tribute to one of the best poems ever written...

"

Ask, tell, hush, and dance in desire

For reminiscent reasons, don’t write me back

Our days were few and great

For nostalgia’s goodness, remember me like long ago

Sip a cup of tea and have wassail in my name

Bake a strawberry muffin and some French biscuits

Have some ice cream not for one but two

Have a celebration for me, have one for you

Don’t wait up at night in regret

Don’t drown in quicksand depression

Live your life and dream a cup of kindness shared

For the days of long, long ago

Should old acquaintance be forgot?

And never brought to mind

Should old acquaintance be forgot?

And the days of old land syne….

I absolutely loved this piece! So universal. It has such a polish to it. It feels like a classic piece children in the future will be reading and dissecting in the near future. Keep it up. This is splendid.
